The Royal Geographical Society of Queensland Ltd. (RGSQ) is offering up to $1000 to support a student enrolled in a Geography Honours, Masters by Research or Ph.D. program at an Australian university conducting geographical fieldwork or data collection research related to a Queensland location.

Topic: Using giant clam shell geochemistry to understand past environmental change and human-environment interaction on Lizard Island. A report of Bohao’s research findings is included in the April 2024 RGSQ Bulletin.
Christopher Hogan, PhD Candidate from Flinders University.
Topic: Investigating Wellbeing and Development Outcomes of Ni-Vanuatu Labour Migration through the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility Scheme. The RGSQ Research grant supported Chritopher’s fieldwork and interviews with labour migrants in the Bundaberg region.
