2020 Geographic Landscape Photo Competition

There were 44 excellent entries making judging by the Publications Committee challenging. The process was anonymous (i.e. entrants' names were not attached to the images) and criteria used included composition, geographic feature, storytelling, creativity, emotion/expression.

Prizes were awarded to 3 participants - Stuart Watt, John Fairbairn and John Tasker. Along with another nine entries, twelve images will be included in the 2021 RGSQ calendar which will be available for sale in October.

The committee wish to congratulate the winners and thank everyone for entering the competition. It is hoped that members will be encouraged to get "clicking" with their camera ready for next year’s competition and watch for details of the 2021 RGSQ calendar.

And the winning entries are. . .

Second Prize: Point Lookout, North Stradbroke Island 2017 by John Fairbairn

Third Prize: Reflections at sunset, Wivenhoe Dam 2017 by John Tasker
