ST LAURENCE'S COLLEGE URBAN FARM AND BOGGO ROAD GAOL
ST LAURENCE’S COLLEGE: The visit to the school will allow RGSQ Members and visitors to witness the developed URBAN GARDEN which was the subject of the April 2019 Lecture presented to members of RGSQ by St Laurence’s College Geography Teacher and Head of Faculty-Humanities, Nataleen (Nat) Kilburn. The visit will also allow members and guests to see a wonderful example of the efficient development of urban space and maximization of resources which the school has achieved since opening in 1915.
LUNCH: Lunch is included in the registration cost and will be enjoyed at the RedBrick Hotel, 400 metres (5min walk for fit walkers) down the hill from St Laurence’s College (return walk may not be so easy). For those not wishing to walk, we can car-pool from the College and return, before heading to Boggo Road Gaol. Meals will be pre-selected and ordered prior to the event so that the meal can be ready for 12:30 pm. (See separate sheet attached).
BOGGO ROAD GAOL: Following lunch at the RedBrick we will return to St Laurence’s Carpark and make our way 1.2km to the Gaol carpark for our 2:30pm History Tour of the Gaol.
