Mapping Your Future: experiences, challenges and opportunities in the geospatial industry

Join the RGSQ Young Geographers for an evening exploring the experiences, challenges and opportunities for early career professionals working in the geospatial industry. Hear from an enthusiastic panel of speakers as they share their insights and advice for students, working professionals and those looking to enter the geospatial industry, featuring Alexandra Perry (Geospatial Project Manager and Brisbane GeoRabble coordinator), Geoffrey Yu (GIS and IT Consultant), Henrique Reis (3D Geospatial Analyst, Geospatial Council of Australia committee organiser and mentor) and John Tasker (Remote Sensing Specialist and RGSQ President). There will be time to ask questions of the panel members during general Q&A discussion (for those joining online) and during smaller group discussions (for those on-premise).

This is a fantastic event for those interested in learning more about the versatility of skills in spatial data, analysis and communication and opportunities for engagement with the future of the geospatial industry. It’s also a great space for those with more experience in the industry who are looking for a place to brainstorm and get advice from fellow professionals on their work-related challenges. Light refreshments will be provided for those joining on-premise.
