This section of the website has been developed to provide opportunities for students to share in the adventures of the Investigator team, to learn about their lives as explorers and sailors and understand the contributions they made. The activities available online are:
Included with the activities is a wide range of online resources and other references. These have been consolidated on the web pages Links and References. The activities have been designed by practising teachers to meet Key Learning Area (KLA) outcomes. While they have been written for this Flinders 2002 Bicentenary they are intended to have relevance to the curriculum generally. In keeping with this, the website will be maintained as long as it remains relevant. We hope you enjoy using these activities with your students and that students who visit this site individually will be inspired by Matthew flinders as he was by his first reading of Robinson Crusoe. Please feel free to contribute ideas or reports of student activities to be added to this site. |
