Exhibitions

The Mitchell Library, State Library of New South Wales, has put together a magnificent exhibition, Matthew Flinders: the Ultimate Voyage. This features material from their own collection and borrowed from a range of institutions in the United Kingdom, France, Mauritius and Australia. Gladstone was the first Queensland centre to host this exhibition. Apart from the major exhibition there is a travelling exhibition which toured to Bundaberg, Bowen, Townsville, Weipa and Karumba. Please see the calendar for details. The Exhibition Curator, Paul Brunton, travelled to each centre to give lectures and to meet with students.

In addition, various botanic gardens, libraries and herbaria, including the Queensland Herbarium and Queensland State Library, put together displays and associated activities.
